Senior Advisor

Mr. Duc Do (MAppSc AI) has more than 30 years of leadership and implementation of digital transformation and innovation programs at international, national, local large and medium-sized enterprises in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Hong Kong, USA, EU and Vietnam. In addition to the role of technology and business model leadership, he has also been in charge of building and developing senior and medium-level leaders and optimal organisational cultures at household brands such as Accenture, EDS/HP, Australia Post, and ANZ Banking Group.

He has an intimate and up-to-date understanding of the organisation culture and context of digital transformation in Vietnam, having been consulting for and training Vietnam Electricity (EVN), the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), the Ministry of Information and Communications (MIC), the Ministry of Public Security (MPS), the Central Government Office, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Ca Mau Province, and Ba Ria Vung Tau Province. He was one of the first Vietnamese born experts to receive a master’s degree in artificial intelligence in Australia. Throughout his long career, he has received many prestigious international and Australian awards for his contribution to digital transformation and advancing organisational cultures. These contributions include building an adaptive culture and the world’s leading enterprise architecture capability at Australia Post, recognised by Forrester in 2015. He also directly developed an ecommerce business with the highest financial success of Australia in the early 2000’s, listed on ASX (Australia) and LSX (London) stock exchanges, along with a range of pioneering technologies including digital cash and virtual reality, and created forerunner platforms for the likes of Shopify and WordPress in the late 1990s. He was honoured by Fairfax Australia as one of the 30 most promising young entrepreneurs in Australia in 2001. He is currently the CEO of ETLABS (strategy and solutions for digital transformation and Net Zero), CEO of Tech Five (strategy and solutions for Industry 5.0). He is also a Senior Advisor for the Vietnam-Australia Scholars & Experts Association (VASEA).

Mr. Andrew Goledzinowski AM

Strategic Advisor

Andrew Goledzinowski is a senior foreign policy practitioner with experience across five continents including as a senior Ambassador, a Ministerial Adviser, and a United Nations official.  He has lived and worked on five continents.

Most recently Andrew was Australia’s Ambassador to Vietnam.  He was acknowledged as amongst the most active and high profile diplomats in the country.  His term saw a rapid increase in Australia–Vietnam two way trade and people-to-people links, and resulted in the elevation of the relationship to the level of a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership.  Andrew was particularly known for the public profile he established through his speeches, writings and social media posts about Vietnam.  He was honoured with multiple awards and medals during his time as Ambassador.  Since concluding his posting, Andrew has continued to devote his energies to supporting academic, not-for-profit, and business links between the two countries.  He is a Fellow of the Australia Vietnam Policy Institute and a Board Member of the Australia Vietnam Medical Foundation. He was recently appointed as Strategic Advisor to the Vietnam-Australia Scholars and Experts Association (VASEA).

During his distinguished diplomatic career, Andrew served as High Commissioner to Malaysia, Ambassador for People Smuggling and Human Trafficking Issues and Ambassador/DPR to the United Nations.  He was also posted to Geneva, Port Vila, Pretoria and Wellington.  He was called on to lead short term and emergency deployments to Ukraine, Iraq, Syria and Fiji. 

In addition to his Australian diplomatic appointments, Andrew served as  Chief of Staff to the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights in Geneva, Aid Coordinator for the Iraqi Coalition Provisional Authority, Head of the World Bank Office in Baghdad, and Senior Adviser to two Australian Foreign Ministers.

Andrew is a recipient of the Order of Australia, the Overseas Humanitarian Service Medal, the US Secretary Medal for Exceptional Public Service, and the DFAT Secretary’s Award for Excellence in Innovation.

Advisor – Science and Technology Transfer

Professor and Program Leader of Building 4.0 CRC
Research Director of ARC Centre for Advanced Manufacturing of Prefab Housing, University of Melbourne

Prof Tuan Ngo is the Research Program Leader-Building Transformation of the Building 4.0 CRC, a $130m initiative to transform the building industry in Australia. He also coordinated the bid to establish of the ARC Training Centre for Advanced Manufacturing of Prefabricated Housing (ARC-CAMPH), a $10m centre focusing on prefabricated buildings on off-site construction where he has worked as the Research Director.

Prof Ngo leads the Advanced Protective Technologies of Engineering Structures (APTES) Research Group which has been recognised as one of the leading centres in advanced materials & structural systems, and physical infrastructure protection in Australia and the Asia Pacific region.

His group has been working closely with industry and government organisations to carry out research in these areas.

Prof Ngo has made a significant contribution to research in critical infrastructure protection, particularly in the area of safe and sustainable materials and systems. He is recognised as an expert in protective technologies for protecting critical infrastructure by many government organisations and industry.

Prof Ngo has been involved in many projects to provide risk assessment, protection solutions and low carbon technologies. These projects include design and strengthening of high-rise buildings, airports, bridges, tunnels, power stations and industrial facilities.

Prof Ngo has carried out significant research collaborations with industry and government agencies to perform large-scale experiments of prefabricated modular components of building structures (facades, wall panels and floor slab systems). The national and international research interactions have given Prof Ngo widespread recognition amongst the scientific community and industry as an expert in design and manufacturing of building components and systems using high performance materials.

Prof Ngo leads a team of researchers in Protective Armoured Systems of the Defence Material Technology Centre (DMTC). His team has developed novel material testing and characterisation techniques and a multi-scale simulation framework for modelling ultra-high strength armour materials and vehicle structural components subjected to extreme mine blasts and ballistic attacks.

Prof Ngo is the winner of the 2013 Eureka Prize for Outstanding Science in Safeguarding Australia. He received the Australia Research Award for Research Leader in Composite Materials in 2022. He also received Scopus Research Award in 2022 and the Award for Excellence in Concrete by the Concrete Institute of Australia-Vic Branch in 2017. He is the two-time winner of the University of Melbourne Excellence Award for Industry-engaged Research in 2017 and 2020.
