On October 21 & 24, 2025, during a working trip to Australia, the delegation from the Vietnam National Innovation Center (NIC), led by Director Vu Quoc Huy and Deputy Director Do Tien Thinh, met with the Executive Board of VASEA in Melbourne and Sydney.
The delegation also included representatives from the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Education and Training, and the Ministry of Science and Technology. Both sides held open and constructive discussions, aiming to expand cooperation between VASEA and NIC, particularly through programs supported by the Australian Government 
.
Both also agreed to co-organize the “Innovation in Agricultural Investment in Vietnam” Conference on October 28, 2025, in Hanoi, jointly hosted by NIC and VASEA, with sponsorship from the Australian Centre for International Agricultural Research (ACIAR) and the Australian National University (ANU). The event will be chaired by Professor Chu Hoang Long from ANU, who is also the Vice President of VASEA.
The meeting marks an important milestone in connecting the Vietnamese scholars and professional community in Australia with agencies in both countries, working together to promote innovation, sustainable development, and international cooperation in agriculture and technology between Australia & Vietnam.
