On the morning of September 25, the People’s Committee of Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, inaugurated the 5th Ho Chi Minh City Economic Forum 2024, themed “Industrial Transformation: A New Driving Force for the Sustainable Development of Ho Chi Minh City.” Distinguished attendees included Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, Secretary of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee Nguyen Van Nen, and Chairman of the People’s Committee Phan Van Mai.
In his remarks, Mr. Nguyen Van Nen emphasized that, along with pursuing sustainable development solutions, Ho Chi Minh City has prioritized comprehensive green transformation, positioning industrial transformation as a key driver, digital transformation as a breakthrough initiative, and development cooperation as an essential and inevitable task.
Two experts from VASEA contributed to the Forum with insightful presentations:
* Mr. Duc Do – CEO ETLabs and Senior Adviser of VASEA delivered a presentation on “Navigating Business Disruption and Industrial Transformation in Vietnam: Strategic Opportunities and Challenges for Enterprises.”
* Mr. Stuart Allinson – Partner of Startupbootcamp spoke on “The Globally Proven Enterprise Research and Innovation Model,” focusing on research, development, and collaborative creativity as a model for enterprise growth.
This year’s forum hosted 40 delegations from local and international ministries and experts, representing 16 countries including Laos, Cambodia, China, Cuba, the United States, Japan, South Korea, Russia, India, Germany, Australia, Italy, Portugal, Belarus, Hungary, and Uruguay.
